I got a degree a while back and now a job I’m proud of now. Really been feeling like an adult this week. I feel like a man that my mom and dad can be proud of. That was always my goal. It feels amazing to be able to have them be proud of me. Without their constant pushing, nagging, scolding, but most importantly their undying love, support, advice, and the nerve to always keep me straight, I’d work any other job that let me afford my own place.
This new job not only will provide that luxury and quite frankly many more that I can’t fathom, but my job makes me feel good. Every day is new but it always has one underlying theme: helping people.
I assist teachers and students at the Desert Sands Unified School district. Last time I heard, that was 32 schools. Anything that anyone might be having issues with that pertains to their chromebook or google account, I - along with seriously some of the absolute nicest and enthusiastic and passionate and phenomenal ppl I have ever met - will do everything we can to help you as fast as possible in the best manner.
To say I’m excited for what’s to come is an understatement. What I can say is how I feel about everything right now and man, I am so happy for me, I’m happy for my loved ones, I’m happy I can put a smile on my parents’ face. I’m happy I didn’t turn out to be as shitty as I thought and felt I was. I’m happy for me.
